In the lobby of the hospital the lab I work in is attached to, they have a large banner wishing people a happy season, and after the usual Chanukah, Christmas and Kwanzaa, it lists Boxing Day and Winter Solstice. That was a pleasant surprise.
Happy Solstice!

Forgot again to check the box...Happy Solstice again.
The days get longer and my SAD lessens. Surely something to celebrate!
Thank you, all, we had a lovely little evening. I'll save the details for another post.
Thank you for these links, fta. I only clicked on the Wikipedia link to find out about it, but these other links are great. We've decided to celebrate Winter Solstice as well and start out own family traditions. Thanks for the ideas! I hope all is well.

What I meant was that when I was looking up Winter Soltsice the other day I only clicked on the Wikipedia link. Not your links. I clicked on all your links. :)

Glad you liked the links, and I hope your family can figure out what's fun and meaningful for you!
