Hi FTA

I've never been Mormon, but I'm fascinated. Why do they fold their arms while praying?

I honestly believe it was all about being slightly different from Protestants. I've known converts who work very hard at teaching their kids to stop clasping hands and to fold there arms instead.

anon- Hi! I've never heard Mormons discuss why they fold their arms. It just is the way they do it. They are taught from before they can talk to fold their arms, bow their heads, and close their eyes...so it just seems normal.

jennifer- That could be it.

That Simeon's Peep Stone one makes me slightly afraid. Hope he's okay.

Mmm. I can't remember what search led me to your blog, now. It's interesting though to see what other people are interested in!
